We've already gone through our first batch of postcards! 

Although we love this new Social Media frontier we still love the occasional card in the mail.  It makes us feel loved & we like to think others feel the same way!

A few weeks ago we shared with you our Union Square Tray & today we wanted to  post  a few environmental pics showing how we like to display & use our tray.

The tray is made out of Walnut construction & takes either a light, medium or dark Walnut on Walnut finish - other finish options are medium or dark Mahogany on Walnut.  Please know that we can customize the size to your needs & can do any finish you'd like!

our Union Square Tray . . .

We love trays here at Square One Furniture, we especially love our Union Square Tray!

We've made the Union Square Tray in many shapes, sizes & in different woods & finishes.  We are happy to say our tray has been used in various residential as well as commercial projects. 

A tray has many purposes, we like to place a tray on top of our Siena Ottoman - this creates a nice landing spot for items we may be using at the moment like books, magazines & that  warm cup of tea!  We also think it's lovely to display objects of worth or sentiment on a tray. 

Just for fun we looked up the definition of the object Tray on Wikipedia:  

A tray is a shallow platform designed for carrying things. It is larger than a salver, a diminutive version commonly used for lighter & smaller servings, & it can be fashioned from numerous materials, including silver, brass, sheet iron, wood, melamine, & papier-mâché. Some examples have raised galleries, handles, & short feet for support.

Trays are flat, but with raised edges to stop things from sliding off of them. They are made in a range of shapes but are commonly found in oval or rectangular forms, sometimes with cutout or attached handles with which to carry them - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tray

We are passionate about the presence of flowers here at the Square One studio! Especially during the Spring season with the essence of an early afternoon rain! 

The famous photographer Irving Penn's book "Flowers", published in the early 80's, shows how he created such beautiful simplicity with one simple flower.  Some people find that flowers are extravagant, but we think that one single flower can make one feel just as special as being in a beautiful garden.  The presence of flowers create the most pleasure at the most unexpected moments in our day.

We would like to share with you the sheer joy that Square One finds in flowers - everything from how the color, softness & fragrance play a part in deciding where to display their inspiration.
